After weeks of speculations and leaks, Canon finally revealed the new addition to their Camera line: The 6D Mark Ii camera. Compared with other Canon cameras, this full frame DSL is at a very affordable price range. The camera company claims that this new camera is best for photographers who would want to take their skills to the next level by upgrading the tools of their trades. Now, creative photographers will be able to take photos with a new full-frame CMOS sensor camera.

Canon also claims that the new 6D Mark II can capture high-quality portraits as well as beautiful landscapes.

Even if there is low to no lights, the camera can still take stunning photos. Inside this DSLR is a full-frame CMOS sensor. It also comes with 26.2-megapixel and a DIGIC7 image processor. The camera’s sensor can also capture a great range of ISO. It can reach from 100 up to 4000 ISO range and can do high speed, multiple shots of up to 6.5fps.

Enhanced features and new upgrades

This 6D Mark II also features the ultra-fast Dual Pixel autofocusing system of Canon. It also has 45 cross-type autofocus points. This DSLR is capable of shooting at 6.5 frames per second. However, the only maximum burst for this camera is 21 frames for raw pictures and 150 for JPEG.

Canon also upgraded the 3-inch LCD of the camera and swapped it with a Vari-angle touchscreen.

Same with their M series line, the panel of the 6D Mark II’s screen can now swivel to the sides. This new camera is also dust and water resistant. Other notable features include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS radios.

What about its video capability?

The new Canon 6D Mark II can also perform well when it comes to taking videos. It can top out at 1080 HP at 60 fps.

However, even if photographers and camera enthusiasts expected it, this camera cannot take 4K videos. Since Canon revealed last summer that the 5D Mark IV could shoot 4K videos, the announcement made a lot of people think that Canon is finally fulfilling the needs of their most advanced customers. However, each Canon DSLR cameras can take a maximum video resolution of 1080p.

It’s a fact that most people don’t necessarily need to shoot in 4K. That’s the reason why Canon didn’t think of putting it on its new cameras. But 4k is rapidly turning into a regular part of everyone’s video consumption habits. It can now be seen in many televisions, and it’s slowly entering the mobile phone world too.

Pricing and availability

The body of this new camera consists of a mixture of aluminum alloy and polycarbonate with glass fiber. Its build quality is also one area where it meets and exceeds the number of expectations. The grip, on the other hand, is perfectly sculpted and makes sure that the camera is very comfortable. It weighs around 765g with battery and card in place and is 10 grams heavier than the first EOS 6D.

It uses a glass pentaprism viewfinder that provides 98 percent coverage, a 1 percent marginal improvement over the EOS 6D.

The new 6D Mark II camera will be available in the market by this month. It comes with a price tag of $1,999 for the body alone. There are additional costs for the Canon prime lens. #Canon 6D
