LG’s V series makes a very distinctive impression in the market. The company is known to deliver a feature-heavy phone inclusive of the trimmings at a relatively feasible price. Take for instance the company’s 2016 flagship smartphone: LG V20. The smartphone featured a QHD display, the latest processor, dual-camera set-up and Android’s latest platform. Now, the company is prepping up for the launch of its successor, LG V30 with just as much vigor to stun the fans.
When is the V30 coming?
Several reports have gone on to indicate that LG might take the wraps off its V30 smartphone sometime in August this year.
Digital Trends reported that the device might be unveiled on August 31 – a day before IFA 2017 commences in Berlin. This could turn out to be true, as LG’s previous flagship was also launched in a similar manner. When it comes to the price of the rumored LG V30, not many have been able to put down a potential number. However, ET News published a report recently offering one solid suggestion. The news publication stated that the upcoming LG V30 might fall in the $699 bracket for the 64GB storage version. Readers are advised to note that the news publication hasn’t cited any reliable source, therefore it is best to take this news with a grain of salt.
Advanced specs and rumors
As far as specifications are concerned, the LG V30 smartphone has been said to be including Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC.
Moreover, the device may probably house a 3,200mAh battery and IP68 certification for dust and water resistance support. On the audio front, the LG V30 might include Quad DAC support and a headphone jack.
Prominent leakster @OnLeaks recently suggested that LG might be experimenting with the idea of wireless charging. If this turns out to be successful, then the device will come with a wireless charging option.
Display-wise, LG will probably prefer an OLED panel over LCD along with the support for a curved display. There are also chances that the smartphone might come completely ‘bezel-less.’ As for the camera, like previously mentioned, the LG V30 is going to come equipped with a dual rear camera setup. Additionally, there are also chances that the device might feature an inset camera, as per the latest LG patent.
However, none of this information has been confirmed by the company yet.
This year, we're going to witness several big brands come face-to-face with their respective flagship smartphones. It remains to be seen what exactly will take place after they all are launched in the market.
