Apple’s ios 11 Beta 2 has been around for some time now and most iOS users are still getting confused on what this new Update brings to the table. By far, this beta 2 is about major internal bug fixes. One good example to this is the Bluetooth button which now functions way better than the previous beta update.

iOS 11 new features

The long press shortcut now works well giving a smoother transition when accessing the contact number and address folder.

Other than this, when you try to access some apps that are not optimized for iOS usage like the “Temple Run,” a pop-up message will appear which offers “Learn More” option.

The “Do Not Disturb” while driving mode now offers three options to play with like “Automatically,” “When Connected To Car Bluetooth” and “Manually.” The Calendar also received a major change as seen in the open testing provided by the developers -- No crashing and lag have been recorded.

According to 9to5Mac, the dock flagged on your iPad screens can now be disabled. If you’d like to personalize the apps displayed on your dock or simply customize the notifications you see when checking on updates.

First, go to the Setting, General then click on Multitasking. From there, find the new optional feature labeled “Show Recents” and turn it off. When you go back to the main screen, you will notice that the dock is no longer visible.

Needs improvement

Meanwhile, “The Task Switcher” is not completely working in the iOS 11 Beta 2. However, Apple is expected to attend to this slight glitch and bring a more flawless task switching in the next beta. About four to nine betas are expected to be released before the iOS 11’s official roll out.

Why should you skip this update?

Note that this beta 2 version is not fully recommended to be installed on your primary iPhone because it might still show up inconsistency with some third party apps.

Installing it in your main phone might cause an even bigger problem. So make sure to use a spare iPhone in case you’d like to know more about the update.

Moreover, once your iPhone has been updated to iOS 11's second beta, it can no longer be downgraded to iOS 10. Therefore your iPhone will be stocked with the said iOS version. In case, the user tried to uninstall the iOS 11 beta 2, the unit will be stocked in Recovery Mode. In order to fix this, the second beta must be re-installed in the phone.

Hopefully, Apple still considers adding more cooler updates in the next beta release. iOS 11 is slated to roll out this fall 2017.
