New amazing specs
The said thermal design houses the Intel Xeon central processing unit. This processor will be available with 8-, 10-, and 18-core chip tiers for people who have different optional configuration preference. The CPU bandwagon will be coupled with Turbo Boost up to 4.5GHz and a cache up to 42MB. The advanced thermal cooling device also supports AMD's Radeon Pro Vega. As the most advanced GPU ever used in a Mac, it includes a next-generation computer core and up to 16GB of on-package high-bandwidth memory (HBM2) and 400GB/s memory bandwidth.
Hailing as Apple's best desktop ever, it wouldn't be complete without an interesting bonus feature fit for royalty. The new iMac will boast four Thunderbolt 3 ports which are capable of holding up to two high-performance RAID arrays and two 5K displays simultaneously. In addition, the Thunderbolt 3 also supports data transfer speeds of up to 40Gbps.
Beautiful Inside out
Note that this iMac Pro showcases the same design and built similar to its predecessor. But it stands outs with a new all-flash architecture in sleek Space Grey and a custom built thermal design. The new design promises 80 percent more cooling capacity and 75 percent more airflow to hold up to 500 watts another exceptional feature for Apple's newest king.
Moreover, the Retina 5K display found in the regular 27-inch iMac is gracing the display department but now with more than 14.7 million pixels and a 500 nit brightness level. These resolution figures show that Apple's next desktop computer is 43 percent brighter than previous displays.
How much will cost?
Pricing for the new iMac Pro 2017 starts at $4,999, MacRumors reported.
Just in time for Christmas
During the WWD 2017, Apple has officially announced that the said desktop computer is slated for December release. On the downside, a more specific release date has not yet been revealed.
