An alleged new render of the Oneplus 5 has found its way on the internet. The recently surfaced renders align with previous rumors that indicated the device will come with dual rear cameras. Let's delve straight into the details.

Horizontal dual rear cameras likely?

The OnePlus 5 has been floating around the rumor mill for a long time with all sorts of reports surrounding the handset's dual Rear Camera making rounds on the internet. However, the latest render points to a design element that does not quite sync with earlier rumors. Surprisingly, the rear cameras of the upcoming smartphone have been positioned horizontally in the new render.

This is contrary to previous reports that have been hinting at vertically arranged rear cameras.

Aside from the aforesaid render, more images of the purported next-gen OnePlus smartphone has surfaced online giving smartphone enthusiasts a brief glimpse of a couple of new designs. Both of the designs also seem to give reports about the comprisal of horizontally-placed dual cameras its seal of approval.

Although this render coincides with the two designs that were spotted online on Monday, May 15, the latest one nullifies the earlier image to some extent especially, in terms of design used to feature the dual cameras. While earlier images seemed to indicate that the phone's rear-mounted dual cameras will be accommodated in a single camera cutout, this new image seems to suggest something completely unlike -- the rear camera will be housed in its own cutout.

OnePlus 5 specifications leaked via AnTuTu listing

Meanwhile, the profoundly awaited handset has made an appearance on AnTuTu. As expected, this added more fuel to the already burning rumors surrounding the new OnePlus smartphone's specifications. If the listing is anything to go by, the OnePlus 5 will pack 6GB of RAM coupled with 64GB of internal storage and Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, under the hood.

It will have a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution display.

On the photography front, the AnTuTu listing hints at the inclusion of 16MP + 16MP cameras, with speculations suggesting both the front and rear cameras would be a 16MP camera. However, if reports about a dual rear camera setup come to fruition, there could be as many as three 16MP cameras in the offing, providing the front shooter will be a 16MP offering. The listing also suggests that the new smartphone will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
