The rumor mill has been churning out all sorts of speculations around Apple's lauded iPad lineup, particularly around the device’s release date, specifications and other details. While nothing is set in stone yet, there's hearsay that the company is on the verge of launching a radically overhauled Ipad Pro next month.

A newfangled iPad could be coming in June

A newly surfaced report that cites reliable sources claims the purported 10.5-inch iPad, which is alluded to as a mid-sized iteration of the current-gen 9.7 and 12.9-inch variants, will feature an all-new design.

This shred of information comes from the usually-correct Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, who suggests there is a strong possibility -- 70 percent to be precise, that Apple will debut its long-rumored 10.5-inch iPad in June this year.

The alleged iPad Pro will most likely be unveiled on June 5 during the keynote of the popular tech firm's annual WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference), which is scheduled to take place in San Jose, California.

What to expect?

According to Kuo, the upcoming tablet will boast considerably narrow bezels in order to pave the way for larger display into a design of identical size to the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, which is 0.24-inch thin and weighs in at 0.98 lbs.

This echoes a previous report that suggested a 10.5-inch iPad will most likely get rid of the standard home button and slack off its bezels.

It's worth noting that the source pointed to an April launch, which obviously didn't come to fruition.

New iPad & Siri Speaker at WWDC 2017

Unless Apple decides to deviate from its release pattern, it would be quite surprising if the Cupertino-based tech titan reveals any iPad device at its imminent WWDC event since the company usually focuses specifically on software during this event.

But those looking to get their hands on the new iPad Pro should not lose hope just yet as it can be recalled that Apple pre-announced the current gen Mac Pro at WWDC 2013. In other words, Apple may still opt to take the wraps off the new iPad device next month.

Meanwhile, Apple has neither confirmed nor denied these speculations, meaning, gadget freaks will have to continue waiting with bated breath until the iPhone maker officially confirms a new tablet ahead of its rumored launch next month.Aside from launching a 10.5-inch iPad Pro, Kuo expects Apple to launch another product in the form of the Siri Speaker, which is a completely new category for Apple.
