New characters and new gameplay
The conflict between hackers has erupted in the world of Digimon, and the battle for the ultimate power has begun prompting a young, appealing hacker named Yuugo to lead his group called the Zaxon to fight their rights against a legendary hacking crew called Jude.
The latter is lead by a former hacker named Arata Sanada. Players will be joining a faction led by Ryuji Mishima to fight and press on to victory.
Bandai Namco also stated that they added a new mode called Domination Battle that takes place between the hacker groups. It is a free-for-all campaign that lets players take over a server domain in the digital world. It comes with a whole new element of war where gamers will experience a strategic combat unlike any other found in the franchise's previous titles.
In the mode, two teams will be pit against each other. An ally and an enemy team will battle for the rights of a particular network area. The teams will start off in a neutral state, and the area will change according to the team's color banners.
The mode's aim is to take over the cyberspace to collect area-points.
