Nes Classic is one of Nintendo’s most sought after gaming device that is a miniature replica of the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Released in November 2016, it was quickly sold out and became the hottest buy for the holiday season.

However, months have passed, it seemed like it is now impossible for the game enthusiasts to secure a unit of their own. Although a lot is still waiting of a restock, the video game company recently announced that it is going to discontinue releasing the game console. Fortunately, one shop revealed that it is going to have it available in-store this morning.

The last restock

In a tweet, Best Buy announced that it is going to have a restock of the NES Classic. “TOMORROW In Best Buy stores. Limited quantities of #NESClassic will be available.” From the looks of it, it seems that it would be only available in-store and not online. Hence, the game enthusiasts who are eyeing to have their hands on this device have to drop to their store first thing in the morning. With just limited quantities, there might be only a few stocks the store has that can’t cater every interested buyer.

Before the store opens, some locations in New York said that it would be doing a ticketing process while other branches’ plans remain unknown. A spokesperson from Best Buy also explained (per The Verge) that that NES Classic will be sold on a first-come-first-serve policy.

The company also has a rule of not revealing its inventory. Thus it is yet to be known if this is the last time that the game platform will be available in its store. Best Buy also announced the availability of the device’s accessories. “Plus, save on select accessories,” it also said in a tweet.

The last delivery

The NES Classic is the miniature version of the original NES that is first released in the 1980s.

In fact, it is considered as the best-selling gaming console of its time. The replica comes with 30 built-in games and has a suggested retail price of $59.99. Since it has been released in the holiday season, it became the best gift everyone can have last Christmas.

However, to secure a unit, one has to camp out of the store to be the first one to buy it or purchase a very expensive one online.

Meanwhile, Nintendo already announced that it would be the last time it will ship NES Classic in stores this April. So, this might be the last time that the game enthusiasts and collectors alike can buy this game device in Best Buy.

Other stores like Gamestop, Target, and Walmart have yet to announce if they, too, are going to have a restock of the gaming console. If not, it might be only available on eBay or Craiglist, or fans just have to wait for the release of the upcoming SNES Classic.
