Great news for "Final Fantasy 15" players as a free update arriving April 27 will feature the "Stable Mode" for Ps4 Pro. The update is set to arrive on April 27 in Japan, but no release date has been announced for western counterparts just yet. Square Enix did announce, however, that a slew of new features and content are slated to arrive together with the update.
'Stable Mode' might lock frame rates on PS4 Pro
The free update arriving April 27 in Japan will include a new "Stable Mode" that according to VG247 might be able to lock the frame rate on the console. As per Gamespot, the new mode will enable the game to have a "stable framerate and comfortable play" for those on PS4 Pro. Back in February, the game received a new patch but was met with criticism by players as it reportedly made performance even worse.
Free update offers some changes to Timed Quests
Aside from the new mode for PS4 Pro, the "Final Fantasy 15" free update arriving April 27 to Japan will also enable Timed Quests to star up again.
Players will also notice a new ranking feature, as well as an awesome new weapon as a first reward. As for content, players should expect new car stickers for Regalia customization, as well as new songs in the music player. Fans of the franchise might appreciate the now enlarged menu screen text and subtitles as well.
Game developers gracing the MomoCon event
This year's MomoCon event, which will be held in Atlanta, Georgia on May 25 to 28, will feature "Final Fantasy 15" game developers who will grace the stage for a keynote address. Players will have the chance to hear senior game designer Takatsugu Nakazawa and global brand manager Raio Mitsuno give a speech. As per Gamespot, composer Naoshi Mizuta will also be on hand for an orchestral performance on May 28.
Square Enix game hints at PC platform for game
"Final Fantasy 15" was released back in November to generally positive reviews from players and critics alike. It received various awards, including the "Game of the Year" award from DualShockers. During the Game Developers Conference in March, Square Enix admitted that they were playing around with the game on PC. In fact, they were working with Nvidia on the latest version of the game's Luminous Studio Pro engine.
The studio didn't confirm that they are bringing Hajime Tabata-directed game to PC, but it would be nice to see the game go beyond consoles and conquer the PC market as well. The game has shipped over 6 million copies since its release, and if this is any indication, it may replicate the success on PC as well. For now, players can anticipate the "Final Fantasy 15" free update arriving April 27 for players in Japan.
