T-Mobile is offering free iPhone 7 when you port your existing mobile number to the provider with an exchange of any participating smartphone until March 16. Dubbed as a limited-time promotional deal, the latest offer by the US-based carrier can be clubbed with the ongoing Third line free deal. You can avail the offer by walking into any authorized T-Mobile store with the device mentioned below.
iPhone 7 will be delivered via prepaid MasterCard
If you switch over or port your existing mobile number to T-Mobile and exchange/trade-in an eligible handset, you will receive a free iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus through prepaid MasterCard via mail-in rebate. Valued at $650, the offer is applicable for both new and existing customers. By default, the company is providing free iPhone, but in case if you would like to have the Plus variant, you need to pay $100 extra after trade-in and rebate.
Offer applicable for the following handsets
You will be eligible for the offer only if you avail the offer by exchanging iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, or Galaxy S7 Active.
The deal is valid for all colors and memory variants. After the completion of all formalities, T-Mobile will automatically reimburse your purchase via a prepaid card. Moreover, you should buy the iPhone 7 either by paying the full value using the card or on monthly payments.
Steps required to avail the offer
To avail the offer, you need to provide your current mobile number to T-Mobile and signup for T-Mobile One package. You should exchange any of the phone mentioned above to obtain your new iPhone 7 on interest-free Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) of the provider. Initially, you will get instant credit for your exchange. However, you need to register online to get a prepaid MasterCard.
After you switch over to T-Mobile, you need to wait for up to 8 weeks to receive the prepaid card through postal service.
It will be pre-loaded with the amount you need to pay for a brand-new iPhone. You can either purchase the new handset using the new card from any retailer or make use of it to buy groceries, vegetables or payment of monthly utility bills.
