Sony is back in action after a lull by launching a plethora of smartphones and accessories at MWC 2017. While the Xperia XZ Premium and standard (XZ) models are tagged under the premium category, the Xperia XA1 and XA1 Ultra are classified under super mid-range segment. The company also announced the launch of Xperia-branded accessories such as Ear Open-style Concept headset and the Touch Android projector. Sony will launch the new handsets within the next few days in the United States followed by other countries.

Sony integrates advanced display technology

Sony Xperia XZ Premium features a 5.5-inch 4K HDR Triluminos display, Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 19MP Motion Eye Camera, 13MP Exmor RS front-facing snapper, 3230mAh battery loaded with Android Nougat. Expected to be available in Spring, the sensor is capable of shooting up to 960 fps super slow motion video.

The Xperia XZ flaunts a 5.2-inch Full HD Triluminos display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, a 19MP/13MP camera with motion eye and Exmor RS sensors, 2900mAh battery loaded with Android Nougat.

Sony XA1 Ultra is equipped with a 6-inch FHD display, Helio P20 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB storage, 23MP Exmor RS rear sensor, 16MP Exmor R selfie sensor, 2700mAh battery loaded with Android Nougat.

Meanwhile, the Xperia XA1 bears a 5-inch HD display, Helio P20 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 23MP rear camera, 8MP front snapper, 2300mAh battery alongside Android Nougat. You should note that the Ultra model is integrated with a large sensor (1/2.6-inch) camera on the rear side.

Sony also launched Xperia accessories at MWC 2017

In addition to smartphones, Sony also launched Xperia Ear headset, which is a voice-activated personal assistant. The new technology will set new benchmarks in the audio industry since you will not only be able to listen to music but also read messages.

The Xperia Touch interactive Android projector converts a flat surface into a 23-inch HD display using SXRD projection display technology developed by the company.

The product also ships with a home screen, which displays real-time weather status. Compatible with PlayStation 4 Remote Play, it also includes a memo board for the management of doodles including a Skype portal.

In addition to the above products, MediaTek also launched the Helio X30 deca-core processor for the upcoming premium smartphones based on 10nm manufacturing process at the recently concluded MWC 2017.
