Vijay Shankar comes in place of Shikhar Dhawan
India made only one change from their previous match against Australia.
Their last match against New Zealand was called off due to rain. At the toss, Virat Kohli said that India was looking to bowl first as well.
Shikhar Dhawan's injury has given KL Rahul the opening spot with Rohit Sharma. Vijay Shankar will bat at no. 4. India has retained its two spinners. India is yet to lose a match in this tournament. Their wins have come against Australia and South Africa.
Shadab Khan and Imad Wasim back in the side
Pakistan has made changes to their line-up which faced Australia in the previous match. Imad Wasim has replaced Asif Ali in the side and Shadab Khan has taken the place of Shaheen Afridi. Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed said at the toss that Pakistan is not feeling the pressure of having lost to India six times in World Cup matches.
They have won only one match against England in this tournament. Their losses have come against West Indies, Australia and their other match were called off due to rain against Sri Lanka.
According to the Cricbuzz report, the pitch looks good for batting. But there's a bit of grass on it with the wicket being dry underneath. It could be a high-scoring match. The conditions are overcast and rain could make its way during the course of the day.
