John Cena is a wrestler whose list of accomplishments in WWE is very long. He has carried titles such as United States Championship, WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Championship, Money in the Bank briefcase and multiple Slammy Awards. He has headlined several Wrestlemania matches facing legendary wrestlers such as The Rock, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker.

He has been the face of the company for almost a decade. Cena has carried the company on his shoulders being a full-time main event wrestler for WWE but these days he is a part-timer.

Recently Cena spoke about who will be the future face of the company. He stated that no single wrestler can carry WWE on his shoulders now. According to him, the promotion has expanded and it has a very wide range of audience and therefore there will be more than one superstar who will lead the company. He further stated that he was the last face of WWE.

Wrestlers are unhappy with WWE

According to several media reports surfaced over social media, there are many wrestlers who are unhappy with WWE and are waiting for their contract to expire. Luke Harper, Sasha Banks, and The Revival are a few of those wrestlers who are reportedly unhappy. Wrestlers who have secretly left WWE are TJ Perkins, Tye Dillinger, and Hideo Itami.

Several Wrestling Promotions Are Growing

Today the Wrestling industry has grown all over the world. With promotions such as New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Impact Wrestling, Ring of Honor, Lucha Underground, etc, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is having a tough time. It is becoming difficult for wrestling promotions to satisfy their wrestlers as they switch promotions finding a lucrative offer from other promotions.

One very recent example is Dean Ambrose aka Jon Moxley who has become the IWGP United States Champion in NJPW recently. No wrestler is in the possibility of staying with a single wrestling company for the entire career which is why Cena's statement makes sense. Several top class wrestlers are ruling the wrestling industry and are switching promotions.

Chris Jericho is a legendary former WWE wrestler who has stayed in the WWE for more than half of his career. He is now ruling the AEW. John Cena has been a loyal wrestler to WWE and has never appeared in other promotions. He is focussing more on his Hollywood career these days.
