Wood or Ali? England's latest selection dilemma
England has two or three ways to go about the team composition in the crucial match against West Indies. In their previous match against Bangladesh, England had opted not to play Moeen Ali and they played an extra seamer. According to the Cricbuzz report, Mark Wood has been facing some issues with his leg. If he sits out of this match, then Moeen Ali could be included. Tom Curran is another option which the English skipper Eoin Morgan has. Other than that, there are no further changes which can be expected in the line-up.
Russell likely to be fit for the crucial match
Even though the previous match West Indies played was washed out, we saw Andre Russell sitting out due to an injury. According to the Cricbuzz report, he is expected to return back to the side in place of Kemar Roach. Evin Lewis had also missed that match and could come back to the side in place of Darren Bravo. Other than this, West Indies is unlikely to make any further changes.
With all the rain that has poured down in Southampton in the last few days, it seems the two teams will play on a rather seam-friendly pitch. There are chances of rain which could play spoilsport in another match. As fans, all you can do is to pray that we see some action on the field.
