The Nebraska football team was doing a bit of recruiting work before the team took off for Spring Break. The Huskers hosted three recruits on unofficial visits. One of those who was visiting is one of the most sought after in-state recruits in the class. Xavier Watts, Turner Corcoran, and Blaise Gunnerson were all hosted by Scott Frost and company and it appears all three were quite impressed with what they saw from Memorial Stadium.
Xavier Watts continues to get attention from schools outside state
While NIck Henrich and Chris Hickman were sought after by schools outside of Nebraska but ultimately became Huskers, it doesn't mean the same is going to happen with Watts.
There have been plenty of schools that have come calling and the Omaha Burke receiver appears to be listening.

Earlier this week, the 3-star prospect, considered the number three player in the state in the 2020 class took an unofficial to Iowa State. The Nebraska football coaching staff clearly wants to make sure they can lock him down and have him join his former Burke teammates.
Trying to steal Blaise Gunnerson from Iowa State
Turnabout is fair play and that's why the Huskers saw Iowa State get a visit from Xavier Watts and decided now would be the time to get Iowa defensive lineman Blaise Gunnerson into Lincoln.
Like Watts, Gunnerson is a 3-star prospect that is considered among the best the state of Iowa has to offer.
Gunnerson doesn't have as many offers as Watts, but he's got scholarships on the table from Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska football, Kansas State and Minnesota. Gunnerson seems to have enjoyed his visit and he certainly looks good in red and white.
Still, 247Sports seems to think the defensive end is a heavy lean to the Cyclones and it's clear the Cornhuskers have their work cut out for them if they want to land him.
Bluechipper Turner Corcoran stealing attention
While Watts and Gunnerson are certainly players the Huskers want to add to the fold. The big target on Friday was obviously Turner Corcoran.
The offensive lineman isn't just the top player in the state of Kansas but he's also among the best players in the entire class.
Huge thanks to Nebraska for another great visit!!! #GBR 🌽 pic.twitter.com/fCOLZCIYr2

Corcoran is likely one of, if not the top target in Nebraska football's 2020 class. The good news is that 247Sports believes he's at least a lean towards Lincoln. That's especially good news considering Ohio State is coming after him hard. If the Huskers can land Turner Corcoran, Xavier Watts, and Blaise Gunnerson, it would go a long way towards securing a 2020 class similar to what they got in the 2019 recruiting rankings.
