Dak Prescott has an opportunity to receive a massive payday from Dallas Cowboys in the near future. Dak has one more season until he is an unrestricted free agent, and is hoping the Cowboys front office to renew his contract with a big financial increase.

Dallas' star quarterback Dak Prescott believes he deserves a long term contract, and the success the team has had with Prescott running their offense, it's hard to disagree with him. Prescott told USA Today that he believes the team knows what Prescott deserves and pay those other people without being frugal.

The other players deserving more money include DeMarcus Lawrence and Ezekiel Elliot.

Dak Prescott not getting paid his worth

Dak's salary in 2018 was $725,848, ranking him 55th among NFL quarterbacks. Tom Brady earned $15 million last season from the New England Patriots, however, Brady has led the team to multiple Super Bowls. Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers earned $33.5 million this past season, while his team ended up going 6-9-1 and failed to make the playoffs for the second consecutive season.

Yahoo Sports reports Prescott brought the Cowboys to a 10-6 record and an NFC East championship and a playoff win against the Seattle Seahawks. Since taking over as the starting quarterback, Prescott has a 32-16 record, and recorded 15 fourth quarter and overtime comebacks, making history for a quarterback in his first three seasons.

Prescott has been one of the best bargains for the Cowboys front office.

While his stats are not something spectacular, Dak has had the Cowboys winning games and becoming a contender for Super Bowls. Dallas will soon have no choice but to pay him that massive costly money if they want him to stick around for more seasons.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has already expressed his love of Dak Prescott and previously said he wants to lock him up for the near future. Prescott will eventually receive his big payday sooner rather than later. Stephen Jones also came out that Jones already promised an extraordinary contract for their quarterback.

In comparison to Dak's deal, both Matt Barkley and C.J.

Beathard receive more pay over the life of their contracts, than what Prescott currently receives. Those two quarterbacks are quarterbacks at the bottom of the talent pool. Dak manages to earn more money through his long list of sponsors.
