The Dallas Cowboys are playing their best football, of the season, heading into the month of December. However, if they want to make the playoffs, they had better keep up their current winning ways. It won’t be easy this week when they face the red-hot New Orleans Saints, but Cowboys fans should have faith.

Dallas will host three of their final five games and they are currently in first place in the NFC East. Here is why they should capture the division crown.

1

Remaining Schedule

After the Saints, the Cowboys face division rival Philadelphia - which will be a tough but winnable game. The final three games of the 2018 regular season will see the Cowboys most likely to be favored in as they face the Colts (6-5), Tampa Bay (4-7) and NY Giants (3-8).

2

Zeke eating up yards

This is why they drafted him. The former OSU standout is a star in this league, and the Cowboys will lean on Ezekiel Elliott’s legs to push them to a division title. Zeke has rushed for 1,076 yards so far in 2018 and he may pass his rookie season where he netted 1631.

Amari Cooper

The Cowboys got their home run hitter on the outside and he is improving every game. Cooper opens up the run game just by being on the field.

4

Wide-open NFC East

Let’s be honest. When announcers were drooling about the Eagles in 2017 saying how they were built to win multiple titles they were wrong. Parity is king in the NFC (just look at the last 20 years of NFC champions) and the time is now for Dallas to take advantage.

5

Dak steps up

It is time. The rookie season was nice, but the sophomore slump was there. Fans sometimes still grumble for Tony Romo, which isn’t exactly fair to Prescott. Nevertheless, he now has weapons and the Boys are in first place heading into Week 13. Time to close the deal.
