The NFL playoffs are down to their version of the final four. Both the AFC and NFC divisional game results were a lot different than expected. One thing is for sure, it is safe to say that any of the four remaining clubs can make a strong case on why they will be the Super Bowl 53 champions.

Patriots vs Chiefs (-3, Over/Under 57) – 6:40 PM ET – CBS

The AFC divisional matchup between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Chargers was supposed to be the toughest battle of the weekend. Las Vegas oddsmakers had the Patriots listed as four-point favorites – by far the lowest spread of the four division games.

By the time the clock expired in the second quarter, this game was over.

As indicated by CBS Sports, it isn’t often that a team gets outscored in a playoff game in the second half 21-6, and still wins by 13 points! Pats' QB Tom Brady once again proved the doubters wrong as New England raced out to a 35-7 halftime lead and never looked back.

Now the Patriots head to their eighth straight AFC championship game, this time facing the red hot Kansas City Chiefs.

Kansas City is tough as nails at home. QB Patrick Mahomes is having a break out year for the ages and to try and compare him to Tom Brady is not possible. It is easier to say this: the AFC Championship game will feature a superstar future Hall of Fame QB versus a youngster that has all the makings of becoming one of the best in the game today – period!

This game is a coin flip. In the end, it is hard to bet against Tom Brady.

Pick – Patriots +3

Rams vs. Saints (-3, Over/Under 58) – 1:00 PM ET – FOX

Like the AFC, the NFC Championship will feature the top two seeds in the conference.

The Saints looked like they were on the verge of being blown out against the Eagles on Sunday afternoon.

However, they stayed the course and walked away with a hard-fought 20-14 win.

The Eagles jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and looked like they were on cruise control to upset the Saints and head back to the NFC title game. That is when the New Orleans defense took over.

Nick Foles was bottled up, the run game for the Eagles became nonexistent and Drew Brees led the Saints back in the end for the win.

Now the Rams and Saints will have a rematch of one of the greatest games of the 2018 regular season. Back on November 4, New Orleans took down the then-undefeated Rams 45-35. The defense was nonexistent on the day for both sides and it may be once again this weekend as two of the top offenses in the NFC collide.

It is hard to beat a team twice in the same season, however, the Patriots are going to do it and so are the Saints.

Pick -- Saints -3
