Here we go! None of the four major sports has a primetime TV special to announce each team's upcoming schedule. None besides football that is. Yes, the pigskin love runs deep for fans in the US, and now we know the date and times of every opponent our favorite team will face this fall – including the Detroit Lions. Could the Lions add Antonio Brown?

Last year, head coach Matt Patricia was the new kid on the block. This year that excuse won’t fly. If you have ever heard coach Patricia speak at a press conference, he doesn’t like excuses, just results.

Round two for Patricia, new staff

The Lions signed a lot of talent this offseason and look like a very solid team heading into 2019. Patricia knows that doesn’t mean a thing if the talent doesn’t unfold on the field.

The schedule is not an easy one this year. Detroit will face six teams that made the playoffs last year.

The Lions will face the four teams from the NFC East and AFC West. They’ll also play the teams that finished last in the NFC South (Tampa Bay) and NFC West (Arizona).

Of course, Detroit will have the usual foes home and away in Green Bay, Chicago, and Minnesota - but we now know they will also travel to Denver, Oakland, Arizona, Washington, and Philadelphia.

The Lions will host the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Chargers, New York Giants, Kansas City Chiefs, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The official schedule

It is time. Below is a look at the Detroit Lions complete 2019 schedule and the way too early predictions for 2019. The Leo's pickups in the offseason have me drinking the Kool-Aid. I can admit that. But I do see the Lions winning the NFC North, and hitting from nine to 11 wins on the year. Games channels unlisted are on FOX.
