The NFL postseason schedule is down to the final eight, and two teams are really playing with house money! Last weekend’s wild-card round once again showed that any team can win on any given Sunday in the NFL - and it is going to happen again this week, just watch!
The NFL wild-card round picks against the Las Vegas number finished 3-1 last weekend, as the Houston Texans were the only team that fell short. Now it is time to move on round two. Every home team is favored this weekend. Will they all win? They might, but odds are they all won’t cover the Vegas number.
Colts at Chiefs (-5.5) -- 4:30 pm ET -- NBC
In the postseason, experience matters. The Chiefs have played an awesome game all season long, and that is why they captured the No. 1 seed. However, here comes Andrew Luck and the Colts. No matter which teams win, this game should be close. The Colts are playing with house money as a No. 6 seed, which makes them even more dangerous.
Pick -- Indianapolis +5.5
Cowboys at Rams (-7) -- 8:15 pm ET -- FOX
Like the Chiefs, the Rams went through the regular season schedule like it was just a formality. This Los Angeles team is loaded at many positions, however, the Cowboys will relish the underdog role. For Dallas, it is all on QB Dak Prescott. No turnovers along with a solid run game and Dallas may pull off the upset.
Either way, the points look strong.
Pick -- Dallas +7
Chargers at Patriots (-4) -- 1:00 pm ET -- CBS
Philip Rivers is so underrated it’s sick. The veteran is in his 15th season of play, yet he looks like a 27-year-old kid. The Bolts are a dangerous team but unfortunately, the buck stops here. You just can’t pick against Brady and Belichick at home in the postseason - especially with an extra week off.
The winner of this game will represent the AFC in Super Bowl 53.
Pick -- Patriots -4
Eagles at Saints (-8.5) -- 4:40 pm ET -- FOX
The Eagles would love another trip to the NFC title game and nothing would be sweeter than beating the Saints to make that a reality.
CBS Sports indicates that the Eagles suffered their worst loss of the season back in Week 11 against New Orleans.
Drew Brees shredded the Philly defense for nearly 400 yards and four touchdowns in the lopsided 48-7 win.
The Saints are tough at home and they should win this game, but it won’t be easy. Eagles with more than a touchdown look like a solid play. Eagles QB Nick Foles is morphing into a Philadelphia legend. If they win this game, he could literally run for mayor and win,
Pick -- Eagles +8.5
