A lot of things have changed from the last NBA All-Star regarding teams and conferences. Which means that this year we are going to have another interesting and unique All-Star game. Official information about how teams are going to look like is now out and it is quite interesting. Two captains this year are LeBron James for the Western Conference and Giannis Antetokounmpo for the Eastern Conference.
The 2019 NBA All-Star weekend is going to happen in Charlotte, North Carolina on February 15-17.
NBA All-Star Western Conference Team
The last season changed many things for the NBA but one thing stays the same, LeBron James is again an All-Star team captain.
This team consists of James Harden, Stephen Curry, Paul George, Kevin Durant, and LeBron who is making his 15th All-Star appearance. Let's look at some of the highlights from this season.
James Harden has been phenomenal this season and he continues to amaze us with his scoring abilities. Harden is averaging 36.3 points and 8.3 assists this year. This will be his seventh All-Star appearance.
We all know Stephen Curry as one of the best players in the league and maybe the best shooter ever. With his sixth appearance on this event, he only proves his capabilities.
The next All-Star is Paul George the beast from Oklahoma City Thunder. George is averaging 27 points this season.
And the last player for the West is Kevin Durant of Golden State Warriors, making his 10th time on this event.
NBA All-Star Eastern Conference Team
Captain of the East is Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Greek Freak. On his team are Kyrie Irving, Joel Ebiid, Kawhi Leonard, and Kemba Walker. This will be the first time for Giannis to be the captain and his third time on the All-Star team.
Kyrie Irving is currently considered the best ball handler in the league and it is not surprising that he is on the All-Star team for the sixth time in his career.
He is currently averaging 23.5 points and 6.9 assists per game.
Joel Embiid is a monster on the court averaging 27.2 points and 13.3 rebounds this season. This is his second All-Star appearance.
Kawhi Leonard is a player that is as good on offense, as he is on defense. Kawhi is making his third All-Star appearance.
And the last player on the East team is Kemba Walker, one of the more underrated players in the league. Kemba is averaging 25 points 5.7 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game.
The reserves are going to be announced on February 7 on TNT.
