Week 5 of the 2018 NFL Schedule will kick off Thursday, October 4 when the Indianapolis Colts take on the New England Patriots from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Once again the Patriots are not off to the greatest start, however, after getting embarrassed on Sunday Night Football two weeks ago against the Detroit Lions, Brady and the Patriots showed that they are still the kings of the AFC East following their 38-7 thrashing against the Miami Dolphins.

Miami entered their contest with a 3-0 mark last Sunday, while the Patriots were 1-2.

The win not only brought New England to .500, but it showed that the Patriots are far from finished in terms of chasing down AFC East championships.

Big games all around

Week 5 officially begins the second quarter of the 2018 NFL season, and the schedule makers should get an early A+ for this week’s action. Almost every game will have either an impact on a divisional race or a bit of an early magnitude for conference play. According to an SB Nation report, the Dolphins and Bengals will square off on Sunday in a matchup of two surprising 3-1 teams that are currently heading in different directions.

Miami is coming off an awful game against New England, while the Bengals kept rolling by surprising the Falcons in Atlanta on a last second TD to pull out a tough road win.

In other big games, the Packers will take on the Lions from Ford Field in Detroit, Jacksonville and Kansas City will meet at Arrowhead Stadium and the Vikings will face the Eagles in an NFC championship rematch. One more game with just a titch of early season intrigue is the LA Rams traveling to Seattle to face the Seahawks.

The Rams are flying high and look unstoppable so far in 2018, however, don't count out the Seahawks just yet. They know how to win and rarely get manhandled by anyone. This is the first time in over four years that the Seahawks are an underdog at home over 3 points.
