After a bizarre Week 3 of NFL action, the odds to win the 2019 Super Bowl have once again shifted a bit. Unlike the NBA, NHL, or Major League Baseball, when you play in a league with only 16 regular season games, every game counts that much more.

Las Vegas oddsmakers are usually not quick to change the odds to win the Super Bowl on a week to week basis, however, after this past weekend's games, many eyebrows were raised just a bit on teams like the New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings, and Green Bay Packers.

With the first quarter of NFL action coming to a close next week, preseason long shots like the Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Washington Redskins are getting a serious glance by sports gamblers.

Dolphins a quiet 3-0

Never before has a team received so little publicity nationwide than the 3-0 Miami Dolphins. While many NFL experts are wondering what is wrong with the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, and Pittsburgh Steelers - they are ignoring the Dolphins, almost like it is just a matter of time before they crumble.

As noted by SB Nation, the Dolphins win on Sunday over the Raiders may not have been pretty, the bottom line was the final score. With every team in the AFC East 1-2, the 3-0 Dolphins could play .500 football from here on out and should make a postseason appearance. Even if the Dolphins finish their final 13 games with a 7-6 record, they would win ten games in 2018 - and history shows ten is a magic number in terms of making the postseason.

The Dolphins were listed at +6600 just one week ago, however, they are now at +4000, and are the biggest positive mover of the week. Last week's leader, the LA Rams held on to the No. 1 position on the odds board. In fact, they strengthened their lead over the field. LA was set at +650 one week ago today, but now they at listed at +450.

If you like the Rams, stop waiting, you are losing out on the money!

Niners swoon

The San Francisco 49ers are in trouble, and they know it.

Following their Week 3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, things went from bad to worse. SB Nation reports that quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo suffered what is believed to be a torn ACL, which could end the star quarterback's season. The Nation also reported that shortly after Sunday’s game, BetDSI announced that Garoppolo’s knee injury will sideline him for the season.

Either way, as of today, September 24, the Niners have fallen from 28/1, or +2800 to a whopping 100/1 or +10000. If you still believe in the Niners, now is the time to wager on them because if they won Super Bowl 53, you would be making some serious cash!

The longest long shots, on the Vegas board to win Super Bowl 53 next February, are the Buffalo Bills and Oakland Raiders, both of which are listed at 300/1 odds.
