Who is ready for the big game? No, not the Super Bowl, the Puppy Bowl. The 14th edition of the Puppy Bowl will take place on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 4) as once again Team Ruff will take on Team Ruff, or in honor of the New England Patriots taking on the Philadelphia Eagles this game is also being dubbed the Pup-triots vs. the B-eagles.

A game for a good cause

When the annual Puppy Bowl kicks off at 3 PM ET on Sunday afternoon, dog lovers will get their fill of watching some playful pups battle it out for the 2018 Puppy Bowl title. However, when the game ends is when the real game for these little guys begins.

According to an Animal Planet report, all of the dogs in the annual Puppy Bowl are rescues and just waiting to find their everyday home. This year the little puppies have been brought in from 48 different animal shelters and organizations from all across the United States, including areas hit by natural disasters like Florida, Houston, and Puerto Rico.

Not only will the pups playing in the big game be up for adoption, but so are thousands of dogs across the country as well. The Puppy Bowl is great for drawing attention to this growing pet population problem, and this one game always helps to boost dog adoptions at this time of the year.

How to watch live

There are many ways folks can catch every punt, pass, kick, water break, drool time and touchdown in Sunday’s Puppy Bowl.

Puppy Bowl 2018 is no different than the Super Bowl in the fact that they also have a pregame show, followed by the big game and concluding with the presentation of the game's MVP, which fans can vote for online.

Starting at 2 PM ET, Puppy Bowl will have their annual pregame show so everyone can get in all their “tail-gaiting” time!

The big game will start one hour later at 3 PM. Voting for the MVP of the 2018 Puppy Bowl can be done online at Animal Planet's website.
