LeBron James will definitely join the Los Angeles Lakers next season, according to LaVar Ball. The founder of the Big Baller Brand and the father of Los Angeles Lakers' star, Lonzo Ball, LaVar Ball has no doubt that the best basketball player in the world will play in Los Angeles in 2018. James has one year remaining on his current contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but he already announced that he will opt out of his final year and become a free-agent next summer. There have been many rumors and speculations around the NBA about James' future and his potential new team, and the Los Angeles Lakers have been mentioned a lot.

Will King James join Lonzo Ball and the Lakers?

James himself hasn't denied the possibility of joining the Lakers next season, and he even owns a big home in Los Angeles which adds more fuel to the fire. The Lakers are currently at the bottom of the Western Conference with a 12-25 record, and surely LeBron would not want to play for a mediocre team. Truth to be told, they are a very young and talented squad, led by their rookie star Lonzo Ball and it seems they have a lot of potential for the future.

They will also have a lot of cap space next summer as they'll probably try to acquire at least one big-time free-agent in 2018. Many believe that LeBron James will be the one and Paul George the other, but these are all just speculations at the moment.

Even at the age of 33, James is still the best player in the NBA and he probably has two or three more years left in his prime. LaVar Ball, the father of Lonzo Ball, believes James should spend those couple of years in Los Angeles Lakers uniform and win a championship with his son.

LaVar is positive that LeBron is coming to Los Angeles

LaVar was recently interviewed by ESPN's Jeff Goodman as he spoke about several different things, including LeBron James and his potential future with the Lakers. "LeBron's coming to L.A. I know he's coming to L.A.," Ball said.

Ball seemed confident about LeBron's future with the Lakers, as he went on to say that this would be the only way for LeBron to catch Michael Jordan as the greatest player of all time.

"LeBron is not a fool. What's the only way he can beat Jordan? You can't get more championships. Only one way, to say 'Every team I've gone to I've won a championship'. Go to Lakers and win a championship, then you're better than Jordan." said LaVar, as per Jeff Goodman of ESPN.

Even though this may sound like a huge and a surprising statement, LaVar Ball has some valid points. If James joins the Lakers next season and wins at least one more NBA title by the end of his career with the Lakers, nobody could deny that he is the best ever. We'll see what happens.
