Lonzo Ball has been one of the most bi-polar basketball players in the NBA this season. One game he could completely dominate, finishing with a near triple-double or even finishing with a triple-double. And then the next game he could go scoreless, and maybe grab a few rebounds or dish just a few assists. With the consistently great outputs from Philadelphia 76ers superstar Ben Simmons, it doesn’t look like Lonzo Ball will be the 2017-18 NBA Rookie of the Year, but that certainly does not mean he won’t have a great season or a great career in the future.

Cleveland Cavaliers superstar and all-time greatest player, LeBron James sees a bright future for Lonzo Ball due to the hard work he puts into his craft on and off the floor. LeBron in the past has infamously had a great eye for young talent and has complimented many young players who have turned out to be great players in the league. And Lonzo Ball is another young talent that King James has very high hopes for.

LeBron believes Lonzo will be special

The point guard position is the most important position in the sport of basketball right now, and Lonzo is likely apart from the next string of great point guards. With players like Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving, John Wall and Damian Lillard dominating the point guard position in the league right now, Lonzo still has ways to go before being considered an elite one in the league, but he certainly has the potential.

Recently the Los Angeles Lakers point guard had his first triple-double of the 2017-18 season, and this was a historic record-breaking performance for the youngster. He became the youngest player to record a triple-double, finishing with 19 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds and doing so at age 20 years and 15 days old. This surpassed LeBron, who was 20 years and 20 days old when he recorded his first triple-double.

Before the Cleveland Cavs played the New York Knicks, LeBron James talked about Lonzo, and his expectations for his future in the league, saying:

“Congratulations to him, I think he’s going to be a really really good point guard in our league, probably a great point guard if he continues to work on his craft and it seems like he does.” When talking about the Lakers organization, James said, “They got a good one.”

They will face off soon

In just less than a month, the Lonzo Ball led Los Angeles Lakers will face off against the LeBron James led Cavaliers.

This is a much-anticipated game, and it will be the first time we see LeBron and Lonzo face off. With many rumors surrounding King James and his possible exit from Cleveland in 2018, with Los Angeles being a possible landing spot, this game will hold a lot of attention. And it is expected that the Lakers crowd will have many “LeBronzo” inspired signs held up.
