Often dubbed as the “best player in the world,” Cristiano Ronaldo never ran out of headlines and this time Ronaldo is all set to leave Real Madrid by the end of the season. According to Marca, the Portuguese International is not happy with his wages and asking for a huge rise in his salary. It is worth noting that Ronaldo has renewed his contract in September 2016. The Madrid Talisman is currently earning around $3,50,000 a week.
There are a number of players who are way ahead of Ronaldo in terms of payment. The recent Paris Saint-Germain signing Neymar is rumored to earn around $6,50,000 a week.
According to Goal.com, even Cristiano’s teammate is not sure regarding his stay in the team. In a recently asked question on the forward’s future, he replied, "Cristiano is leaving? Ask him; I don't know about these things."
Ronaldo’s recent form
His current form is a matter of concern for the Madrid coach and fans. What is more worrying is that he has just scored one goal in La Liga so far this season in six games although he is the top-scorer in Champions League. But Los Blancos coach, Zinedine Zidane is not worrying as he states that the form is just a matter of time for the winger. According to SkySports, the Frenchmen recently said that "You [the media] always think of negative things and I think positive" on former Manchester United player’s form.
Earlier this season there were rumors suggested that the Champions League top scorer is not happy in Spain due to his case over tax fraud. According to DailyMail, Ronaldo told the judge: 'I have never hidden anything, and never tried to avoid taxes.' There is also speculation that the winger is not happy with the Real’s proposed signings of Harry Kane and Dele Alli from Tottenham.
The teams that sign Cristiano Ronaldo
There are some teams which are eager to sign the superstar Footballer. The frontrunner are Manchester United and PSG. The number seven has a release clause of $1 billion, and if the Spanish giants decided to leave their talisman, he would cost around $150 million. Ronaldo has achieved some unrealistic milestones in his Madrid career so far still he faces a lot of criticism from Madrid fans.
He is often dubbed as selfish. Currently, Los Merengues are sitting third in the La Liga table and second in their Champions League group. There is no doubt that filling Cristiano Ronaldo's place in Madrid squad is pretty tough but there are a number of players on the clubs radar including Harry Kane, Eden Hazard, and Neymar.
