The Washington Wizards beat the Philadelphia 76ers 120-115 on Wednesday at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC. The Sixers had a solid game, shooting 45.5 percent from the field, 42.9 percent on three-pointers, and 73.7 percent from the Free Throw Line. But the Washington Wizards was still too much for the Sixers. Joel Embiid played his 31st NBA game of his career for the 76ers, scoring 18 points in 27 minutes.

Simmons puts up amazing numbers in NBA debut

With all the buzz around Ben Simmons, he showed that he was not all hype. Despite losing, Simmons was able to contribute 18 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one block in 35 minutes.

He shot 46.7 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from the free throw line against the Washington Wizards. Simmons is showing what an all-around player he is, and if he continues to play this well, he may have himself a Rookie of the Year award at the end of the season. This was only Simmons first NBA career game, and he went right down to business getting a double-double for the Sixers.

Joel Embiid continues to impresses

This was the 31st NBA career game for Joel Embiid, and he looked amazing. He contributed 18 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, and one block in 27 minutes. He shot 46.7 percent from the field, zero percent from beyond the arc, and 77.8 percent from the free throw line. Embiid probably had some extra motivation due to the Twitter war between him and Whiteside. If Embiid and Ben Simmons remain healthy for the upcoming season, the Sixers will have a chance to make it back to the NBA Playoffs finally.

John Wall scores 28

John Wall played an amazing game last night for the Washinton Wizards. He contributed 28 points, five rebounds, eight assists, and two blocks in 37 minutes. Wall shot 35.7 percent from the field, zero percent from beyond the arc, and 88.9 percent from the free throw line. John Wall continues to show how good of a two-way point guard he is in the NBA.

If he and Beal can consistently play well and remain healthy this season, they actually have a shot at dethroning LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Bradley Beal does a little bit of everything

Bradley Beal had a solid all-around game against the Philadelphia 76ers. He contributed 25 points, six rebounds, four assists, three steals, and one block in 36 minutes.

He was 6-of-17 from the field, 1-of-4 from beyond the arc, and 12-of-16 from the free throw line. Bradley Beal will have to continue to play consistently well this season, for the Washington Wizards to make a deep run in the postseason.
