During a "WWE Live" event in Santiago, Chile, Chilean WWE fans were treated to a huge surprise when WWE COO, Triple H (real name Paul Levesque) entered the ring in full wrestling gear. This happened during the second day of WWE's live tour within the country, which also involved other WWE superstars.

During his surprise match, the Cerebral Assassin took on the Bulgarian Brute himself, Rusev. Of course, the match ended when Triple H hit the Pedigree on his Bulgarian opponent for the pin.

New Day celebrating with Triple H ends in disaster

After Triple H defeated Rusev, he then took a Chilean flag and placed it on a turnbuckle in respect to the country's fans.

And then, the New Day went into the ring and celebrate the wrestling legend's return.

Xavier Woods, Big E, and Kofi Kingston all went inside the ring to celebrate with The Game, complete with Woods' signature trombone of course. The three New Day members then danced around like they usually do, and even invited Triple H to dance along. Surprisingly, the "WWE" COO obliged, and even danced around a bit himself. However, it still ended with Triple H hitting a pedigree on Kingston and sending the rest of the New Day scurrying.

Setting up for Wrestlemania return?

Triple H's in-ring return in Santiago would mark the first time the "WWE" COO has competed inside the ring since "Wrestlemania 33," which of course happened earlier this year.

His last match was a loss to Seth Rollins, who has recently won the "Raw Tag Team" championship with Dean Ambrose and has reformed The Shield with his partner and Roman Reigns.

With projects like the Mae Young Classic and NXT, Triple H has been busier than ever, as he has been doing much more work behind the scenes, rather than competing in the ring himself.

And because he has been more involved in the business side of the WWE lately, he only goes on to compete in the major WWE pay-per-views like Wrestlemania. The recent match in Santiago, Chile might just be a warm-up for The Game, as he already has several rumored opponents in the future, including Kurt Angle. The Olympic Gold medalist recently won a "Tables, Ladders and Chairs" match alongside Rollins and Ambrose in WWE's TLC PPV.

Rumors on a match against Kevin Owens at Wrestlemania

Lately, the McMahon family, which Triple H has actually married into, is feuding with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. This includes Owens brutally attacking Triple H's father-in-law, Mr. McMahon during an episode of Smackdown Live!. During that same episode, Owens also had a confrontation with Stephanie McMahon, Triple H's wife.

Many argue that this is the WWE planting seeds for an eventual showdown between Owens and Triple H in the "grandest stage of them all". With Kevin Owens on a tear lately after beating Shane McMahon inside Hell in a Cell, WWE has been setting him up as Smackdown Live!'s top heel. And what better way to push a top heel than a showdown with The Game himself.
