Another NBA legend aired his thoughts regarding the prized rookie of the Los Angeles Lakers, Lonzo Ball. TMZ recently caught up with Charles Barkley, and he explained what he would have done to Ball if they played against each other.

At first, Barkley said some great things about Ball, like he would be a "heck of a player" in the NBA. However, he echoed the opinion of many that Ball's father, LaVar Ball, is putting to much pressure on him.

He added that LaVar makes people hate his son.

The TMZ personnel then asked Barkley what he is going to do if he was still in the league and had to play Lonzo Ball. The former MVP replied, "I would've been goin' at his head, no question. Would've been talkin' to him the whole time about his daddy." Barkley is known as one of the best trash talkers in the NBA, not just during his time, but until today.

Charles Barkley also discussed Ball's performance in the Los Angeles Lakers' 132-130 win over the Phoenix Suns last Friday (October 20). Ball scored a career-high 29 points during the contest. Unfortunately for the rookie, Barkley was unimpressed since Ball did it versus a Suns team that is facing a lot of issues and is struggling as of the moment.

Marcin Gortat angered Lakers

Another NBA personality who recently said something about Lonzo Ball was Washington Wizards center Marcin Gortat. In a tweet responding to a statement by LaVar Ball, Gortat stated that his teammate, All-Star playmaker John Wall, will "torture" the Los Angeles Lakers rookie for an entire game.

Lonzo Ball seemed to not care about this, but his Lakers teammates had something to say, especially Brandon Ingram. The 20-year-old said they "didn't take it so well" and promised that they have his back, ESPN reported. The Lakers and Wizards will meet on October 25 at the Staples Center.

Inconsistent Lonzo Ball

In three games in the NBA so far, it has been a roller coaster ride for Lonzo Ball.

The former Chino Hills and UCLA star struggled in his debut (versus the Los Angeles Clippers) when he tallied three points, nine rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block. He bounced back in his second game (versus the Phoenix Suns) for the Los Angeles Lakers as he recorded a career-best 29 points, which came with 11 rebounds and nine assists. In his third outing (versus the New Orleans Pelicans) he again had a poor scoring performance, but still came close to a triple-double with eight points, eight rebounds, and 13 assists.
