Los Angeles Lakers star rookie Lonzo Ball celebrated his birthday on Friday October 27. After spending his first four games in the NBA as a 19-year old and averaging 11.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 9.0 assists per game, Lonzo now enters his twenties and is looking to spend a lot of successful seasons in the NBA over the next decade.

Lonzo Ball has had a strong start to the 2017-18, and looks on pace to win the Rookie Of The Year award. But there is one player in particular that will probably challenge Lonzo for the award after averaging 16.4 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 7.4 assists to start the season.

That player is Ben Simmons.

It looks like for the rest of the regular season, Ben and Zo will be competing against each other for the prestigious trophy to validate one of them as the best rookie for this season. Both players however have received a lot of praise in the past by one of the greatest players in NBA history, that being King James.

LeBron tweets birthday wishes to Lonzo

LeBron James is an active member of the Twitter community and often shares his thoughts and opinions on the website. Recently, LeBron shared a tweet to Lakers young rookie, Lonzo Ball.

The just turned 20-year old point guard is already one of the biggest names in the NBA and the sport of basketball around the world.

He has a lot of potential and a lot of expectations in the NBA, but there are obviously a lot of people who will support him on his journey, and LeBron James definitely looks to be one of them.

Lonzo’s dad LaVar Ball is well known for his high expectations for his kids, and his very outgoing attitude. This has made Zo one of the most talked about players in the league and maybe the most talked about player before being drafted since maybe King James himself, over a decade and a half ago.

LeBron to Lakers?

Although it’s just a nice birthday message from King James to Lonzo Ball, a lot of people looked deeper into this tweet. It is not surprising though, any piece of evidence the media or Los Angeles Lakers fans can grab that indicates the possibility of LeBron joining L.A. in 2018, they’ll use.

There have been many media personalities and former NBA players that have spoken up recently and predicted that LeBron James will take his talents to the Lakers in 2018.

Although the Lakers are nothing amazing right now with some young players and Lonzo Ball, free agents in 2018 including John Wall and Paul George have been linked to the idea of possibly joining LeBron to form a super-team in Los Angeles. LeBron has also expressed in the past his desire to play alongside good friends Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul, all on one team.
