For NFL's Week 3 edition of "Thursday Night Football," the Los Angeles Rams pay a visit to the San Francisco 49ers. So far this season, the Rams have been off to a decent start, winning their first game, before falling in their second to remain at .500 for the early season. The 49ers have yet to capture their first win of this new season, one in which they're playing without former quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Here's a look at tonight's Rams vs. 49ers game preview with matchup odds, start time, TV Channel, and live stream options.

NFL game preview

Coming into tonight's game, the Los Angeles Rams find themselves with a 1-1 record. After beating up an Indianapolis Colts team lacking Andrew Luck in Week 1, the Rams fell 27-20 to the Washington Redskins. In that game, Los Angeles trailed 20-10 at the half and managed to cut the deficit to three points in the third quarter. They tied it in the fourth with just over seven minutes to go. However, their defense couldn't stop Kirk Cousins and the Redskins' offense from completing a 70-yard drive that resulted in an 11-yard game-winning touchdown. It's clear the Rams still aren't near contender status yet in the NFC as they put together a winning roster. They'll have an opportunity to bounce back against another team in the stages of rebuilding in tonight's game.

The San Francisco 49ers were also on the losing end in their Week 2 game. The team visited the Seattle Seahawks who managed to hold them to just nine points. Seattle took the game 12-9 in a low-scoring affair and held quarterback Brian Hoyer to under 100 yards passing on 15-for-27 passes thrown. Hoyer will try to get his offense going but it seems like this will be another season which finds San Francisco amongst the bottom dwellers of the NFL standings.

The 49ers are currently on an eight-game losing streak at their home stadium. It's no surprise then that San Francisco is a home underdog tonight by three points on the point spread. The Rams are priced as -150 favorites on the moneyline, while the 49ers are +130 underdogs. Tonight's over/under points total is hovering around 40 points for the complete game.
