The latest episode of WWE "SmackDown Live" took place in Little Rock, Arkansas on Tuesday, August 29Th, 2017. The show continued to follow up from the big "SummerSlam" PPV as various feuds continued and new ones begin towards the next PPV, "Hell in a Cell." Among the superstars appearing on the latest "SmackDown" show were WWE Champion Jinder Mahal, Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton, Shelton Benjamin, AJ Styles, Bobby Roode, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens. Here's the latest match-by-match results and highlights for the latest show.

'SmackDown' match results

In the opening segment, they announced Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton would face Jinder Mahal and Rusev in the main event. It was also announced that on next week's "SmackDown Live," Orton will go against Nakamura in a match where the winner becomes new No. 1 contender for the WWE title.

WWE Champion Jinder Mahal was out with The Singh Brothers to cut one of his promos in the ring. He was about to have The Singh Brothers get down to kiss his feet but Shinsuke Nakamura came down to interrupt. He got in the ring with them but ended up getting attacked as they ran the numbers game. Randy Orton rushed to the ring to help, but Rusev also rushed out to fight Orton. Jinder Mahal put Nakamura down with his finisher.

Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin made their tag team debut. The duo teamed up against The Ascension for their first match together. Gable made a hot tag late to bring Shelton back in so he could clean house. Benjamin had a pinfall but Konnor broke it up. Gable rushed in to clear Konnor from the ring and then Shelton hit Paydirt on Viktor for the pinfall win.

AJ Styles came to the ring for his WWE US Championship "open challenge." Tye Dillinger tried to answer the challenge but Baron Corbin blindsided him.

Dillinger was able to recover and took out Corbin as he got on the apron to knock him down. Tye asked the ref to ring the bell for the match. In the match, Tye got in a bit of offense but AJ turned the tables on him and ultimately got him into the Calf Crusher for the tap out win. Post-match, Corbin threw Dillinger into the barricade and went after Styles who knocked him out of the ring.

Bobby Roode picked up his second-straight win since joining "SmackDown" just last week. This time around he defeated Mike Kanellis in a match that went three minutes. Rhode hit a clotheslines, and a flying forearm, and then the Glorious DDT for the win.

Aiden English was doing his signing bit in the ring when Kevin Owens interrupted and told him to leave the ring.

Owens complained about how he chose Corbin as his referee in last week's title match against AJ Styles but it ended up being Shane McMahon who decided the match in favor of Styles. Owens said it never would've happened with Stephanie McMahon over on "Raw." Shane came out and told Owens he had to step in last week since the referee (Corbin) bailed on the match. He said he counted a fair pinfall for Styles. He told Owens to get out of the ring so English could have his match next.

English would take on Sami Zayn. During the matchup, Kevin Owens got involved and took away the referee's shirt, saying he wasn't doing his job right. Owens took over as referee. After hitting a Pop Up Powerbomb on Zayn, he made a fast pinfall count in favor of English.

The Usos defeated New Day via pinfall in a match where the winning team would choose the stipulation the next time they have their title rematch. Big E got sent out of the ring late in the match and Kofi was duped by a blind tag The Usos made. Kofi got rolled up by Jimmy Uso for the winning pinfall, meaning The Usos will choose the stipulation when these teams meet for the titles again.

Tamina defeated an amateur wrestler. She won the match in about 50 seconds or so. Post-match, Lana got in the ring to celebrate with Tamina.

The main event

In the main event, Shinsuke Nakamura teamed up with Randy Orton to take on Rusev and Jinder Mahal. The match had been set up from the earlier incident that saw Jinder and The Singh Brothers attack Nakamura with Orton trying to make a save. Rusev got involved to take out Orton, leading to this main event tag team match.

The match ended up lasting over 13 minutes. Late in the contest, Nakamura tagged in and went after Rusev, taking him down with knees. He went for a reverse suplex with Rusev blocking it and Jinder coming in to interfere.

Randy Orton rushed in to clear Jinder out of the ring with a DDT move. From there, Shinsuke was able to hit a flying knee on Rusev and then the Kinshasha for the pinfall win. Post-match, Orton talked to Nakamura a bit and then hit a surprise RKO out of nowhere to leave "The King of Strong Style" laying on the mat as WWE "SmackDown" ended.
