Kyrie Irving's request for a trade has left the Cleveland Cavaliers in limbo after the franchise traded him to the Boston Celtics for isaiah thomas. Thomas, who has been nursing a hip injury following remission in last season's game 2 in the Eastern Conference is apparently not fit enough to say the Cavs have made the perfect deal. Now, according to NESN, the franchisee may look to inquire about the possibility of adding Jayson Tatum or Jaylen Brown to the deal.

The Boston Celtics, on the other hand, is expected to turn down the request for the main reason that the Cavs franchise knew about Isaiah Thomas' injury.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said: "Boston believes that it was completely transparent with Cleveland about where Thomas was physically, his rehab." As for Cleveland's argument, they did not have any information on how long Isaiah will be out.

Isaiah Thomas' reaction to the blockbuster trade

The trade between Kyrie Irving and Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, and Ante Zizic came as a surprise to fans. While the Boston Celtics were among the teams likely to acquire Irving, the team isn't on the player's priority list. For the part of Isaiah, he was as surprised as the fans and clearly, he did not see the trade coming. Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas talked to his namesake and confirmed the hurt he felt as soon as he realized he was being traded.

In a report by the Cavaliers Nation, Celtic's final offer is Brooklyn's first round unprotected-pick and the three players. The Cavs seem to have agreed to the deal and soon after, Thomas flew to Cleveland for his physical. Apparently, the Celtics built their conditions around its star player's current condition.

How the trade is expected to end

The blockbuster trade is still hanging by a thread after Thomas' physical confirmed that he's still not 100 percent fit. If he had, the Cavs wouldn't be chasing the Celtics for an additional trade. Fans also believe that the Celtics have sacrificed enough to even include Jae Crowder to sweeten the deal.

The Celtics, as the unwilling participant in the trade "restructuring", will have to wait and see the Cavs decision regarding Isaiah Thomas' condition. Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving's former teammate LeBron James has not released a statement regarding the trade. He did send his best wishes to Kyrie on twitter and was recently spotted at the Mayweather-McGregor fight in Nevada with his wife Savannah.
