The show started with John Cena going one-on-one with Baron Corbin. This was an extremely physical match, with Baron able to dominate Cena for most of the match. But at the end, Cena was successful in adjusting the attitude of Baron Corbin pulling off the win.
Women's title
Next was another Smackdown match between Naomi and Natalya. This match was for the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship. It was a highly competitive match between them. Towards the end of the match, Natalya locked Naomi in sharpshooter and successfully pinned her to become the new Smackdown women's champion.
After this, there was a match between the Big Show and Big Cass with Enzo Amore locked in a sharkcage hanging high above the ring. Big Cass took advantage of Big Show's hand injury throughout the match and defeated him in the end.
Then there was a Women's Championship match from Raw division between Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks. Alexa was very vicious in her way of wrestling with Sasha but that didn't help her retain the WWE Women's Championship as Sasha took the title away from her by winning the match.
After this, there was a match between "The Demon" Finn Balor and the self-proclaimed "Eater of Worlds" Bray Wyatt. Balor was able to get into the mind of Bray Wyatt and in the process, defeated him in an interesting match.
Dean and Seth are the new tag champions
A tag team championship match between the Raw tag team champions Sheamus and Cesaro and a newly reunited team of Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. The team of Rollins and Ambrose suffered a tremendous amount of punishment by Sheamus and Cesaro. But at the last moment, the challenger team dominated and won the match.
As a result, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose became the new tag team champions.
Next, there was a United States championship match between AJ Styles and Kevin Owens which had Shane Mcmahon as the special guest referee. Styles won the match and retained the United States championship with Shane McMahon being an unbiased referee.
Then there was the main event from Smackdown Live between WWE champion "The Maharaja" Jinder Mahal and "The King of Strong Styles" Shinsuke Nakamura. Jinder retained the title successfully by defeating the "King of Strong Styles".
Fatal four-way main event
Next, it was time for the epic fatal-four-way main event where four powerhouses were in the same ring. We witnessed Braun Stroman's unbelievable show of strength in the match. Apart from this, Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe also contributed to the chaos. But "The Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar was able to survive all three of them and retain the Universal title. SummerSlam was a brilliant pay-per-view.
