Over the past month or so, Enzo Amore has been the target of vicious attacks backstage. At one point, his tag partner Big Cass looked like he was the recipient of attacks from the same source. However, that was proven to the contrary several weeks ago, when Big Cass revealed himself to have attacked Enzo backstage. He would go on to attack his partner several more times, but now it appears Enzo will finally have a chance at some revenge at the upcoming WWE "Great Balls of Fire" 2017 pay-per-view.

Here are the latest details on the upcoming match.

Enzo vs. Cass match set

WWE "Raw" took place at Phoenix, Arizona's Talking Stick Resort Arena on Monday night. In the opening segment, Enzo Amore came to the ring to once again address things with his former tag team partner. While he had offered Cass forgiveness on last week's show, that wasn't the case on tonight's episode.

Enzo talked about how the past five years Cass was looking right past him instead of watching his back and that's why bad things happened to Enzo. He said that despite being knocked down or running his mouth every week he gets up after each beating and keeps going back.

Enzo said he believes in himself and you can't teach that.

He ended up calling Big Cass "a seven-foot catchphrase" that he wrote. He suggested Cass needs to wear a new shirt saying Cass Hole or else his next merchandise check might be zero dollars. Enzo dropped the mic after that to conclude his promo ahead of a new match on Sunday.

Backstage, Big Cass was shown watching it all on a monitor. Charly Caruso asked for his comments and Cass said he never heard someone talk so long without saying anything. He said Enzo won't be walking after Sunday. Cass called himself the star and where the money is. Suddenly, he was attacked from behind by Enzo who threw punches at him. A group of referees and WWE staff came in to break things up.

Match added to card

With that, a new match has been added to the WWE "Great Balls of Fire" card for this coming Sunday. The "Realest Guy in the Room" Enzo Amore will face Big Cass in their first-ever singles battle. Right now, it's tough to see Enzo getting a win here, just based on the size disadvantage, as well as his track record in the ring. However, he seems fired up and determined to avenge the underhanded backstage attacks and recent face-to-face assaults from his former partner.

The WWE "Great Balls of Fire" 2017 PPV is set for this Sunday, with a start time of 8 p.m. Eastern Time on the WWE Network. Other matches on the card include Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman in an Ambulance Match and Samoa Joe vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship.
