WIth the NBA season just right around the corner, it seems like the NBA teams are now shifting away from the offseason rush and now are looking at D-League and G-League players to finalize their roster. Summer camp is the next event for teams and it is essential that they get their core line up together so that they can build some chemistry on and off the court. Here are a few updates on the NBA free agency:

Oklahoma City Thunder sign Dakari Johnson

Shams Charania has reported that Dakari Johnson has signed a two year deal with the Thunder this offseason.

Johnson was the 48th overall pick by the Thunder in the 2015 NBA draft, since then he has played in the D-league and has been very successful, averaging 12.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, two assists, and 1.6 blocks in 5 games. Johnson also played in the 2017 D-League All-Star game. He will be a raw but decent player off the bench and he now has the opportunity to prove himself with the limited minutes he will get alongside Westbrook and George.

Shane Larkin signs with Boston

David Pick has reported that the Boston Celtics have signed young point guard Shane Larkin this offseason. Larkin is a three year NBA veteran playing for the Knicks, Nets, and Dallas. He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2013 NBA Draft with the 18th selection but was then traded to Dallas.

During his NBA tenure, he averaged 5.8 points, 1.2 steals, 4.4 assists, and 2.2 rebounds while shooting 44.2% from the field. Last season he decided to step out of the NBA scene and play in the Euroleague for Baskonia. He now heads back to the NBA in the hopes of reviving his career with the Boston Celtics by playing behind Isiah Thomas and Gordon Hayward next season.

Derek Willis joins the Detroit Pistons

Chris Haynes of ESPN has reported that Derek Wilis and the Detroit Pistons have signed a one year deal this offseason. Derek Willis played for the Kentucky Wildcats in his college years and went undrafted in the NBA Draft.

Troy Williams and Rockets closing in on deal

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN has reported that Troy Williams has signed a three year deal with the Houston Rockets this offseason, Guaranteed in the first year and with subsequent trigger dates for year 2 and 3.

Williams is an undrafted player in the NBA 2016 Draft, he played 24 games with the Memphis Grizzlies and six games with the Houston Rockets in 2016 NBA season. He averaged 6.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.9 steals while shooting 43.7% from the field in 30 games in the NBA.
