  • Sri Lanka: SLRC Channel Eye, Sports India,
  • Pakistan: PTV Sports and Ten Sports,
  • United Kingdom: Sky Sports
  • USA: ESPN3

Both the teams have two points each with one win and one loss.

Pakistan had a disastrous start with 124 runs thrashing at the hands of arch-rival India but remained in contention with a 19 runs victory over South Africa courtesy the Duckworth-Lewis Method. Sri Lanka also started with a loss against South Africa but made amends and stunned India by successfully chasing a formidable 322-run target.

However, rain can play spoilsport, and as in the past, there is every possibility that it will cause a disruption. However, if the match is washed out and yields no result, it is possible that India and South Africa will clash in the semi-finals. The rain gods have been favorable to the Pakistanis in their previous encounter with South Africa.

Sri Lanka looks formidable

The Sri Lankan team has good batting depth and if the going is good can frustrate any bowling attack as the poor Indians realized in their previous encounter. Faced with a mammoth total, Sri Lanka managed the target with a few balls to spare without much ado. There are likes of Thissara Perera, Dinesh Chandimal, and other batsmen who did not get a chance to bat against India and will be raring to go and prove their mettle.

Pakistan has potential to upset

Pakistan has depth in bowling even without Wahab Riaz who injured himself in the match against India.

He was replaced by Junaid Khan who returned with figures of 2/53 against South Africa. Pakistan also has the young pacer Hasan Ali who is going great guns, and Mohammad Amir is also in prime form. There are chinks in batting, and the key will be the experience of Shoaib Malik, Mohammed Hafeez, and Azhar Ali.
