LeBron James is one of the best, but also one of the most hated athletes in the world. While it's usually NBA fans who hate him and talk bad about him, it is rare to hear other players comment about James and say something bad about him. However, LeBron James was recently insulted by another NBA player, and not just any player, but a rookie who was drafted just a few days ago.
Jordan Bell, the 22-year old forward, was the 38th overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft. Shortly after getting drafted, the young player decided to talk about LeBron, and it wasn't very nice.
In a video that was taken after Bell was drafted, the rookie can be heard saying "F*ck Bron Bron!" multiple times.
Bell chose an unusual way to make headlines and he shouldn't have done it like this. While James is arguably the best player in the NBA, Bell has yet to play in the league and saying something like this is not a great way to start your professional basketball career. It will be interesting to see if LeBron responds to the rookie, but it won't be surprising if he just ignores it all, since Jordan Bell is not relevant yet.
The rivalry between the Warriors and the Cavaliers
Jordan Bell was originally drafted by the Chicago Bulls, but shortly after, he was traded to the Golden State Warriors.
The Warriors acquired Bell from the Bulls for $3.5 million, which shocked Chicago fans. On the other side, the Warriors got a great young player who is often compared to Draymond Green. Considering that Bell is only 22, he could be a big part of the Warriors' future.
Recent comments about LeBron James will further intensify the rivalry between the Warriors and the Cavaliers.
These two teams played in last three NBA Finals and they might meet on the final stage next year as well. The Warriors beat the Cavaliers in 2015 and 2017, but Cleveland pulled an upset in 2016, becoming the first team in NBA history to come back after being down 3-1 in the series.
Jordan Bell and LeBron James
It is very unlikely that the Warriors will be eliminated before reaching NBA Finals next year and we might see them play against Cleveland again next year.
If this happens, we will have a chance to see LeBron James and Jordan Bell face off, and we'll see if the rookie can perform well and contribute to the success of his team.
Is it unknown why Jordan Bell made those comments about James, but the Cavaliers' superstar will definitely not like it. He wants to beat the Warriors next season and this will motivate him even more.
