Toss news
West Indies who won the toss has decided to bowl first. Virat Kohli says after the toss: "The wicket looks good, looks dry, watered on top and rolled nicely. We would have batted first in any case. It will slow down later in the day"
After winning the toss, West Indian Captain Jason Holder told that the wicket in the Queen's Park is pace friendly, and his fast bowlers will try to pick some early wickets to pressurize the Indian batsmen.

The skipper also added that the team had forgotten their bad run in the Champions Trophy, and they are looking to start the proceedings from grass root level.
On the other hand, Indian skipper Virat Kohli told that the wicket at the stadium would turn to be a batting-friendly track once the moisture gets dried off.
When asked about the team's recent loss against Pakistan, Virat Kohli replied that it is practically impossible to win all the matches, especially on the International circuit.

For India, Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane will open the innings, and they will be followed by Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, M S Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav and Hardik Pandya.
Rohit Sharma will not play this match due to injury, while Ravindra Jadeja opted out following his pathetic performance in the recently concluded Champions Trophy.
Miguel Cummins will lead the bowling attack for the Islanders, and he will be given adequate support by Alzzari Joseph and Devendra Bishoo.
Pitch conditions
Jeff Dujon during the pitch report told that there are very fewer chances of pitch dry up in the first innings, and as a result, the wisest decision after winning the toss is to bowl, and this advice was obeyed by Jason Holder. The weather seems perfect for a One-Day match, and there are no chances of a shower.
