Chelsea controlled the game

Chelsea had 57% possession throughout the contest, with Chelsea having the ball most of the time. They also had 21 shots in the game, while Middlesbrough only had two shots. Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois had a quiet night, as he only had to make one save in the game -- a long-range shot in the second half.
It looks like Chelsea are going to officially become Champions of England on Friday night when they play West Brom at Hawthorns stadium. Three points for Chelsea will make them Champions of the English Premier League. Chelsea had a season to forget last year as they finished 10th in the English Premier League.
Antonio Conte has worked hard with his team and it's paying off. They are showing the same dominance that the team had when they won the title back in the 2014-2015 season.
Relegation for Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough and Sunderland are now officially relegated from the English Premier League to the English Championship after tonight's loss to Chelsea.
Middlesbrough only have 28 points in the Premier League and this loss guarantees relegation for them. It's up to Hull, Swansea and Crystal Palace to battle it out for the last relegation spot in their final two games.
Middlesbrough have been hard to watch this season as they have only managed to score 26 goals, which is the lowest out of all of the teams in the Premier League.
Middlesbrough have also had problems at the other end of the pitch, as they have conceded 48 goals and only managed 11 clean sheets. Middlesbrough will be playing in the English Championship next season and they have a lot of work to do if they want to get back into the English Premier League in the future.
