Liverpool have qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time since the 2013-2014 season after they won comfortably 3-0 against Middlesbrough at Anfield.

The reds knew they needed a win on the final day of the season to guarantee qualification to the Champions League next season and the home fans were looking quite nervous during the first half when they struggled to break down a resilient Middlesbrough defense.

Georginio Wijnaldum blasted the reds in front just before half-time to put the Liverpool fans nerves at ease, Philippe Coutinho then made it 2-0 in the 51st minute as he curled in a free kick from 25 yards into the bottom corner.

Liverpool didn't look like they were going to slow down and 5 minutes later Adam Lallana made sure the game was over to score the third goal from a counter attack.

Liverpool was in control the whole game and finished the game with 74% possession and managed to have 25 shots during the match.

Chelsea give John Terry perfect send off

Chelsea made sure they gave John Terry a send off to remember as they easily won 5-1 against Sunderland at Stamford Bridge. John Terry was subbed off in the 26th minute and his side gave him a guard of honor as he was leaving the pitch to thank him for everything he has done for the club.

Chelsea went behind early in the game thanks to a goal by Sunderland defender Javier Manquillo but their lead only lasted 5 minutes after Willian smashed the ball into the back of the net.

Eden Hazard put the blues ahead in the 61st minute, Pedro then scored in the 77th minute and Michy Batshuayi scored twice in stoppage time to give Chelsea a deserving 5-1 win.

Arsenal won 3-1 at home against Everton but it wasn't enough to overtake Liverpool into fourth place which means they miss out on playing in the Champions League next season for the first time in over 20 years.

Manchester City made sure they were going to finish the season strong and they did just that as they smashed Watford 5-0. The win for City guaranteed their qualification into the Champions League next season as they finished third in the english premier league.

Tottenham Hotspur made it a day Hull City will want to forget very quickly as they scored seven goals to win 7-1.

Harry Kane scored a hat-trick for the spurs to win the golden boot for the second season in a row with 29 English Premier League goals. Tottenham Hotspur finished 2nd on the English Premier League table and they will be hoping to take the momentum they gained from the end of this season into the start of next season.
