Liverpool have qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time since the 2013-2014 season after they won comfortably 3-0 against Middlesbrough at Anfield.

The reds knew they needed a win on the final day of the season to guarantee qualification to the Champions League next season and the home fans were looking quite nervous during the first half when they struggled to break down a resilient Middlesbrough defense.

Georginio Wijnaldum blasted the reds in front just before half-time to put the Liverpool fans nerves at ease, Philippe Coutinho then made it 2-0 in the 51st minute as he curled in a free kick from 25 yards into the bottom corner. Liverpool didn't look like they were going to slow down and 5 minutes later Adam Lallana made sure the game was over to score the third goal from a counter attack.

Liverpool was in control the whole game and finished the game with 74% possession and managed to have 25 shots during the match.

Chelsea went behind early in the game thanks to a goal by Sunderland defender Javier Manquillo but their lead only lasted 5 minutes after Willian smashed the ball into the back of the net.

Eden Hazard put the blues ahead in the 61st minute, Pedro then scored in the 77th minute and Michy Batshuayi scored twice in stoppage time to give Chelsea a deserving 5-1 win.
