With another season drawing closer to an end, the Premier League transfer rumour mill begins to pick up more steam as the summer transfer window comes closer to reopening. Now, with more money than ever available for clubs competing in the Premier League, everyone from Chelsea down to Sunderland will be starting to consider their options for next season. Here is today's english premier league transfer rumours.
Eden Hazard and John Terry
The London Evening Standard reports that although Chelsea star Eden Hazard has been heavily linked with a big-money move away from Stamford Bridge in the summer, the Belgian attacking midfielder is happy at Chelsea and wants to continue playing under manager Antonio Conte who has helped him rediscover his form after a poor 2015/2016 campaign under Jose Mourinho.
Hazard's team-mate, John Terry, hasn't been afforded many opportunities under Antonio Conte this season and despite being the longest-serving player at the club, could be set to join another Premier League outfit for the first time in his career next season with Stoke City and West Brom the favourites to land the 36-year old's signature, according to The Times).
Barcelona lurking over Chelsea stars
The Sun reports that Barcelona have sent over both their sporting director and scout to look at three potential Chelsea players to bring to the Nou Camp next season. With defenders Cezar Azpilicueta, Marcos Alonso and Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic all being monitored by the Catalan side.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic to leave Man United in the summer?
Despite proving many of his critics wrong with an outstanding season at Old Trafford since joining in the summer on a free transfer from PSG, Zlatan Ibrahimovic's contract with Manchester United is set to come to an end this summer should he fail to sign an extension with the club.
Despite turning 36 later this year, Ibrahimovic has netted 15 Premier League goals so far this season, however, could be set to make a move in the summer to LA Galaxy in a deal which would see the Swede become the highest-paid player in Major League Soccer history. According to several news outlets including BBC Radio 5 live, talks have already taken place between the Los Angeles club and Ibrahimovic.
Liverpool to lose out on main target whilst Man United hold secret talks with Napoli star
A summer deal to bring Athletic Bilbao star, Inaki Williams, to Anfield now looks unlikely as Italian giants Juventus are now leading the race to sign the Spain international, who is still only 22-years old. The Daily Express also reports that Napoli winger and striker, Dries Mertens, met with representatives from Man Utd earlier this week to discuss a potential summer transfer for the 29-year old. Mertens scored four goals against Torino in December, in which the Belgian scored the fourth fastest hat-trick in Serie A history and became the first player to score successive hat-tricks in the league since 1974.
