The highly anticipated "NBA 2K18: Limited Edition" has been officially announced today. This year, NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal grace the cover of this year's game installment. The news was further confirmed in a humorous video in YouTube of O'Neal grateful for everyone. It was later revealed that Kobe Bryant, his longtime teammate, and rival was the one who wrote the script. As for the standard edition of the game, 2K has not yet revealed who will replace last year's cover, Paul George.

Standard legend edition

This year, there will be two "NBA 2K18: Legend Editions." Both of these will be available in physical and digital formats.

As with its previous release, there will be an Early Tip-Off this year. Pre-order is available now, and the game will be available to customers who placed their pre-orders on September 15.

The Prelude, which was available last year was not yet mentioned. It can be recalled that the game's previous release was propped by a companion game or free preview that was released a week before the official full release of the game.

For the standard "NBA 2K18: Legend Editions," players will get physical items including the Limited-edition Shaq poster, five Panini trading cards, and exclusive stickers. Aside from the physical items, digital content will also be included upon purchase of the game. Players will get 100,000 Virtual Currency, 20 Weekly MyTEAM Packs to build your perfect fantasy team, delivered one every week, featuring a guaranteed Shaq card.

Apart from those, there will be one random Team 2K Free Agent card, Shaq Attaq shoes – Rookie Shaq jersey, O'Neal's Official Logo shirt – Shaq “nickname” jersey, Shaq Championship ring, Shaq in-game items to name a few. The regular edition will feature O'Neal in his Miami Heat days and will be available for only $99.99.

Gold limited edition

Meanwhile, the Gold edition will be available for $149.99 and will show Shaq in his days with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The physical items of the Gold edition will only be exclusively available at Gamestop. The physical items included in this edition are limited-edition Shaq Poster, Lenticular, 10 Panini trading cards, and exclusive stickers.

For the digital content, players will get 250,000 Virtual Currency, 40 Weekly MyTEAM Packs, Shaq in-game items, and Early Tip-Off Access. Aside from that, players will also get Shaq Attaq shoes, Rookie Shaq jersey, Shaq Official Logo shirt, Shaq “nickname” jersey, Shaq Championship ring, and Mitchell & Ness Shaq jersey collection among others.
