LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers continued their hot start to the 2017 NBA Playoffs as they've yet to lose a game. On Wednesday night, they made the No. 3 seed Toronto Raptors look more like a team that shouldn't even be competing in the playoffs right now. The Cavs won Game 2 by a staggering 125-103 rout at Quicken Loans Arena to take a 2-0 series lead in their best-of-seven matchup.
Here's a look at how King James, Kyrie, and the rest of the Cavs squad got it done in their latest victory.
How the Cavs got the win
Tonight's game was fueled by the usual suspects for the Cavaliers as Kyrie Irving and LeBron James got it done. Irving recorded back-to-back games with 20 points and 10 assists for the first time in his career, while LeBron James moved into second place all-time on the NBA playoff scoring list. With his point total on Wednesday night, LeBron took over the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's spot and trails just one man: Michael Jordan.
James finished with 39 points on 10-for-14 field goal shooting which included him hitting four of the six threes he attempted.
LeBron also had 21 attempts at the charity stripe, making good on 15 of those free shots. In addition to the points, he filled out his stat line with six rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two blocks. Teammate Kyrie Irving had 22 points and 11 assists, while Channing Frye (18) and Iman Shumpert (14) came off the Cavs' bench to help out.
For the losing side, the Toronto Raptors' DeMar DeRozan had a quiet night, going two-for-11 and finishing with a mere five points. Teammate Kyle Lowry had 20 points on 7-for-12 shooting, but Jonas Valanciunas (23 points) and Cory Joseph (22 points) came off the bench to outscore the All-Star guards. As a team, Toronto shot 46.7 percent for the game while Cleveland hit at a rate of 54.7 percent.
It was the three-point shots that really crushed the Raptors, with Cleveland hitting 18-of-33 attempted shots from long distance to boost their points total.
