Season 3 of “Better call saul” has already made many connections to “Breaking Bad” and has brought in so many old characters, including Gustavo Fring, Hector Salamanca, Francesca, and many others. Episode 5 reintroduced another important “Breaking Bad” character, fan favorite, Huell Babineaux. For those who don’t remember, Huell was Saul Goodman’s body guard, and the one who scammed Jessie Pinkman with the cigarette switch by bumping into him.

Huell’s up to the same tricks

In “Better Call Saul,” Huell used the same method to scam Jimmy’s brother, Chuck, during their trial.

Huell bumped into Chuck, who was on his way to the court room, and slipped a fully charged phone battery into Chuck’s pocket so that Jimmy can prove his point that Chuck doesn’t have a so-called EHS disease but is instead mentally ill.

Ultimately, Huell helped Jimmy completely breakdown his brother in front of everyone at court, including the Bar Association committee. Jimmy’s entire plan was perfectly executed, as every loose end from previous episodes tied in beautifully into what Jimmy and Kim Wexler had schemed for the trial.

What happens next?

The episode concluded with Chuck melting down after Jimmy exposed him in front of everyone. He showed his true hatred toward Jimmy, which put a surprising look on everyone’s faces.

Where does the show go from here? Well, Jimmy still seems to be guilty for breaking the law because he doesn’t deny that his voice was recorded on the tape, confessing that he committed felony. He may still lose his lawyering license, which may cause the transformation into Saul Goodman.

Is the transformation to Saul Goodman coming next episode?

For those who watched the preview for the next episode, you may have heard a lady’s voice say, “Saul Goodman.” It sounded like Kim, but we won’t know for sure until the next episode. The most important thing is that it appears Jimmy is soon going to become Saul Goodman.

Maybe next episode he chooses the name, but obviously there is more to it than just changing the name.

Meanwhile, the show seems to be further advancing the storyline of Gustavo and Hector in the next episode. We get a sneak peek of Gustavo’s henchmen having an unpleasant run-in with a drug Cartel member.

Season 3 has progressed the story beautifully

Season 3 has taken off so quickly, progressing the story of all the main characters involved. We have already seen a handful of “Breaking Bad” characters make an entrance, and more seem to be coming one-by-one. “Better Call Saul” has rapidly become a magnificent TV show, reaching close to the level of “Breaking Bad.”
