It was an exciting Wednesday night in Orlando (Florida), as the Orlando Magic hosted the Oklahoma City Thunder in what will turn out to be a historic night. The crowd at Amway Center witnessed a special performance from OKC's superstar Russel Westbrook that led the visitors to an important overtime win.

All Magic through first three quarters

The home team started off well, leading at halftime 49-44 and by the end of the third quarter it was 82-72 Magic.

At one point in the third quarter The Magic were leading by as many as 21 points (72-51). It seemed like it was all over for the visiting team when Orlando took a 14 point lead (93-79) midway through the fourth quarter, but then Russell Westbrook showed up and took over.

The Russell Westbrook show

As he did against Dallas on Monday night, he did so once again against Orlando - he put on a show. He put the team on his back and led them to the biggest comeback of the Oklahoma City franchise history. "Russ" scored 19 of his team's 30 points in the fourth quarter, including the three-pointer with 7.1 seconds left in the regulation that sent the game to overtime.

.

Nikola Vucevic missed a free throw that would have sealed it for the Magic, Westbrook grabbed the rebound and came down the court with only one thing on his mind - three points. He pulled up for a game-tying three pointer without any hesitation and it went in. Westbrook finished the game with 57 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. This was his 38th Triple Double of the season and he is now only 3 triple doubles away from Oscar Robertson's all-time single season record of 41. Westbrook now also owns an all time record for most points scored ever in a triple double - 57!

Fans at Amway Center recognized greatness and began shouting "MVP! MVP! MVP!" in overtime of this special performance. With only eight regular-season games remaining for the Thunder, it is now more than realistic that OKC's superstar point guard will average a triple double for the season, something that hasn't been done since the 1961-62 season when Oscar Robertson did it.
