The first think that I'm going to say about Daniel Faalele is he has never played a down of football in America. Faalele was discovered by Michigan during a satellite camp last summer in Australia. After that Daniel Faalele has invested all his time getting better at football. This has led him to enroll at the best high school football factory in the United States; IMG Academy.

The Academy is a boarding school and sports training destination in Bradenton, Florida. The Football Academy was established in 2010 where it held its first camps. The school fielded their first team in 2013, quickly being named the nation's top high school facility by MaxPreps.

Great size and strength

Daniel Faalele is only a 17-year-old junior in high school and listed at 6'8 and 400 pounds. It really doesn't do his size any justice. His teammates on IMG have compared him to a brick wall. Even Neal who is a 6'8" 372-pound man himself said he had never met anyone his own age that was bigger. Daniel was first spotted by a Hawaii assistant in 2015 who witnessed him lifting weights in Melbourne.

Right there on the spot, the coach offered him a scholarship. At the time, he knew nothing about American football. Since there is no actual game tape on Daniel, you must watch the limited practice video on hand. This video was taken during 1-on-1 drills at the under armour Camp Series and the Nike The Opening regionals.

The future for Daniel

Faalele is Michigan's top overall target in the coming years. He is actually listed as a three-star lineman but that is just because there is no tape of him. Michigan will throw everything they can to try to persuade him to Ann Arbor. Daniel Faalele has visited multiple schools already like Florida State, Georgia, and Miami. After all those visits, he is still leaning toward Michigan, the school that truly discovered him. Daniel has announced that he will be playing in 2018 in the Under Armour All-American game. During that game, he will finally be showcasing his skills for all to see.
