It's almost that time of year again! Many Football fans are wondering when and where Super Bowl 51 will be played as the 2017 edition of the NFL game is just a few weeks away. Where will the Super Bowl be held?

This year the big game will be the 51st edition of the NFL game This 2017 edition is set to be held at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The stadium is the home of the NFL's Houston Texans, who bowed out early in the playoffs to the New England Patriots. The NRG Stadium can hold just under 72,000 fans at capacity. It has served as the venue for Super Bowl XXXVIII back in February of 2004, as well as WrestleMania XXV in April of 2009. Now it will serve as host once again for the NFL's annual championship game featuring two of the best teams over the past football season.

When is the game being played?

The 2017 Super Bowl is set to go down on Sunday, February 5th, 2017. Super Bowl Sunday is always like a holiday around America, full of gatherings at sports bars or other establishments, and of course, parties at households around the country.

The game is set to go down at 6:30 p.m.

Eastern Time on that Sunday. It will feature plenty of new commercials and the Halftime Show sponsored by Pepsi featuring Lady Gaga as this year's musical performer. FOX will show the televised game, and there is also sure to be live streaming feeds available for viewers online.

Latest on Super Bowl LI tickets

While this year's matchup isn't the sort of marquee matchup that the NFL may have hoped for, it's still an exciting one. Many analysts and fans believed that the Packers vs. Patriots would be the ideal matchup for the championship game. However, the Packers were routed by the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship, canceling that notion. That left either the Falcons vs. Patriots or Falcons vs. Steelers as this year's matchup.

As of this report, there were Super Bowl tickets listed on StubHub for $3,400, and ticket packages starting at $8,000. Listings for Super Bowl Players tailgate tickets were going for around $695 at the lowest level, while parking passes for the big game were selling at $49.

Prices could very well change as the game draws closer. However, one thing is for sure: Super Bowl tickets always tend to be one of the highest-priced for sporting events each and every year.
