The new head writing team for “The Young and the Restless” is keeping the promise to return Genoa City to its glory days. This past week fans have been treated to what had been missing during the past year: Nikki and Victor trying to broker peace with Adam, Nick, and Victoria, Michael frantically attempting to reign in an out of control Kevin, while Paul and Christine enjoyed some private time. Jack and Lauren are working together and fans are loving seeing main characters in the spotlight once more. Michelle Stafford is back as Phyllis and causing trouble in LA.

The drama is heating up and spoilers indicate it will only increase.

Y&R back on track

Monday and Tuesday on ”The Young and the Restless,” viewers were treated to Michael and Kevin as they have not been seen in quite a while. Former DA Baldwin followed his younger sibling to the place where he was holding Phyllis. Michael yelled and threatened and finally, Kevin broke down and told him all the sordid details. Lauren later tried to get her spouse to tell her what was going on, but he evaded her by calling Jack to the table.

Summer is desperate to find her mother, not knowing that Phyllis was held captive but escaped. She’s going to Las Vegas to gain any information she can use against Adam. Victor and Nikki are unable to get the children to reconcile their differences, even though they know their dad may be dying.

“The Young and the Restless” is getting back on track by showcasing the Newmans, Abbotts, Paul and Christine, Phyllis, Michael, and Kevin.

’Y&R’ return to more core cast action

Prior to being let go from ”Y&R“ Paul and Christine were only on hand if a crime was committed or there was a court case. Recently Mr. and Mrs. Williams had a romantic picnic in Chancellor Park.

Victor has been in his office a lot lately, which is a switch from months of his chair being empty. There also were people randomly walking in an out of his office, but not anymore. Viewers are happy when core cast members get the major screen time, and others are in the periphery.

Adam is falling for Sharon again, but she blasted him Tuesday because he’s suing Nick for custody of Christian.

Nick is mad at Victoria because she gave Adam the money he is using for the custody battle. Victor and Nikki are trying to present a united front without taking sides while Billy wants nothing to do with Adam. Jack wants to support the Newman wild card while dealing with Dina’s Alzheimer’s and advising Summer about Phyllis. Adam wants Michael to drop Nick and represent him in the custody case and even issued a veiled threat. Stay tuned weekday afternoons on CBS to find out what happens next on “ The Young and the Restless.” You can catch all the Genoa City action at 12:30 PM EST.
